For the past 18 years, The Place, London's temple to contemporary dance, has staged its Resolution! festival, a showcase for choreographic experiments and works in progress. This year's six- week season offers 38 triple bills, each evening giving stage time to three fledgling dancemakers who are selected through open application, mostly by video. Only a masochist (or a Place employee) would dream of sitting through all 114 acts, but I took a few tissue samples last week in an attempt to gauge the health of the enterprise.See the full content of this document
