Summary


To say that Alan Clements is the brains behind Wark Clements is to make the ridiculous suggestion that his wife, Kirsty Wark, doesn't have one. This is clearly not the case, since she was smart enough to snap up Clements back when she was an established broadcaster, and Clements, six years her junior, was an unknown at the BBC.

Even then Wark may well have been aware that Clements is more than just brains. He's a visionary who has seen to it that, in 14 years, their two-person TV-making operation has expanded to become one of the biggest independent production companies in Scotland. This week it was announced that Wark Clements is to merge with Ideal World, the company run by Scottish media's other power couple, Muriel Gray and husband Hamish Barbour.
