Summary
The achievements of U. A. Fanthorpe as a poet are well known and documented. U. A. loved Wotton and it was her poem For OS759934: 14/ 2/96: A Love Poem, together with a sketch of Long Street by her long- time partner Rosie Bailey, which inspired the highly successful We Love Wotton event. Most importantly, U. A. combined in abundance those prized human qualities - kindness, humanity, intelligence, dignity and courtesy. She will be sadly missed.
