+ HEALTH rationing watchdog NICE finally concedes and makes the sight-saving drug Lucentis available on the NHS. Its dithering cost the sight of more than 20,000 patients, yet the hapless chief exec Andrew Dillon claims he was only following the correct procedure. What a clever creation NICE was for this Government, providing a convenient shield for the person really responsible for withholding life-saving drugs. Yes, I do mean you, Alan Johnson.
