New club captain Roy Winters believes Bristol have a much better spirit and togetherness than they had at this stage last season.

The 33-year-old former England lock will share the leadership responsibilities at the Memorial Stadium this season with a soon-to- be-named team captain. And he says the mood among the squad, as they prepare for their assault on promotion back to the Guinness Premiership, is more positive than it was a year ago.
