Summary
Ian Woosnam has a big bacon sandwich on his lap and is answering questions about his Ryder Cup captaincy. Fifteen minutes later, he still has a big bacon sandwich on his lap, unable to get a bite in edgeways. Imaginary captions start to run round your head to go with his slightly clichd answers - 'Woosie's got a lot on his plate' or 'Has Woosie bitten off more than he can chew?' The absence of people and the presence of tape recorders seem to persuade Woosnam to say things like: "The young guys are great, they've a lot of bottle, they're 'ungry, they want to prove themselves.'' Woosnam looks 'ungry - there's the large matter of the untouched sandwich to consider - but his words aren't going to fill up many empty spaces.
