Convocations of the Clergy Measure 1920.

A MEASURE passed by the National Assembly of the Church of England

Declaring the power of each of the Convocations of Canterbury and York to amend the constitution of the Lower House thereof.

[23rd December 1920]

W HEREAS by the constitution of the National Assembly of the Church of England as defined in the Church of England Assembly (Powers) Act 1919 it is provided that the said Assembly shall before entering on any other legislative business make further provision for the self-government of the Church by passing through the Assembly (inter alia) a measure declaring that the Convocations of Canterbury and York have power by Canon lawfully passed and promulged to amend the constitution of the Lower Houses thereof:

It is hereby declared that the Convocation of each of the said Provinces has power with His Majesty's Royal Assent and Licence to make promulge and execute Canons for the amendment of the constitution of the Lower House thereof.
