HEREAS by Indenture made the Twenty-feventh Day of Indenture of
March One thoufand feven hundred and forty-nine, between

Sir John Evelyn of Wotton, in the County of
Surrey,

the one Parr, and John Evelyn, Son and Heir Apparent of the faid Sir
John Evelyn Baronet, and the Reverend
Thomas Anguijhy
Vicar of the
Parifh Church of Saint Nicholas, in Dept/ord, in the County of Kent,
Clerk, of the other Part, the faid Sir John Evelyn, for the Purpofes and
Confiderations therein mentioned, did grant, bargain, and fell unto
tht faid John Evelyn the Son, and Thomas
Anguijhy
and their Heirs, a
certain Piece or Parcel of Garden Ground therein defcribed, and there*
tofore known by the Name of

Hilly in the Parifh of Saint Paul, Dept/ord, in the faid County of Kent,
containing, by Eftimation, Four Acres or thereabouts, together with
all Ways, Paths, Paffages, Watercourfes, Fences, Gates, Profits, Com-
modities, Hereditaments, and Appurtenances whatfoever, to the faid
Piece or Parcel of Garden Ground belonging or appertaining, and all
the Eftate, Right, Title, and Intereft of the faid Sir John Evelyn to
the faid Premifes, to hold the faid Piece or Parcel of Garden Ground,
with their Appurtenances, unto the faid John Evelyn the Son, and
Thomas

their Heirs and Affigns for ever, upon Trnft to permic
and fuffcr the Churchwardens and Overfeers of the Poor for the Time
being, of the faid Parifti of Saint Nicholas in Dept/ord, to receive the
