The Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 162(1) and (6) of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 20021, the Secretary of State hereby makes the following Order:

S-1 Citation and interpretation

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2003.

(2) In this Order:

the 1971 Act” means the Immigration Act 19712;

the 1999 Act” means the Immigration and Asylum Act 19993; and

“the 2002 Act” means the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002.

S-2 Commencement

Commencement

2. The provisions of the 2002 Act specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order shall come into force on the date specified in column 2 of that Schedule, but where a particular purpose is specified in relation to any such provision in column 3 of that Schedule, the provision concerned shall come into force on that date only for that purpose.
