The Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority) (Scottish Legal Complaints Commission) Order 2006

Coming into force in accordance with article 1

The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(3) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 20031and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order, a draft of which has, in accordance with section 18(4) of that Act, been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament:

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003 (Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority) (Scottish Legal Complaints Commission) Order 2006 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

S-2 Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority

Treatment of Office or Body as Specified Authority

2. The Scottish Legal Complaints Commission shall be treated, for the purposes of or in connection with any appointment to that body, as if it were a specified authority within the meaning of section 2(1) of the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.

This Order provides that the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission shall, for the purposes of appointments to that body, be treated as if it were a specified authority listed in schedule 2 to the Public Appointments and Public Bodies etc. (Scotland) Act 2003.
