AGRICULTURAL MARKETING

The Agricultural Marketing (Consumers' Committee) (Amendment) Regulations, 1951

In pursuance of subsection (3) of Section 16 of the Agricultural Marketing Act, 1931(a) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Secretary of State for Scotland hereby make the following Regulations:—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Marketing (Consumers' Committee) (Amendment) Regulations, 1951, and shall come into operation on the twenty-eighth day of February, 1951.

2. In paragraph (1) of regulation 1 of the Agricultural Marketing (Consumers' Committee) Regulations, 1932(b) (in these regulations referred to as "the principal regulations")

(a) there shall be added at the end of the definition of "Minister" the words:—

"and, when any such Committee is considering any scheme applicable to Northern Ireland, or any part thereof, "Minister" includes for the purpose of Regulations 10 and 12 of these regulations, the Secretary of State concerned with Agriculture in Northern Ireland";

(b) in the definition of "Scheme" for the word "Act", there shall be substituted the words "Agricultural Marketing Acts, 1931 to 1949(c)".

3. Paragraph (2) of regulation 5 and paragraph (2) of regulation 10 of the principal regulations are hereby revoked.
