National Galleries of Scotland Act, 1959

(7 & 8 Eliz. 2) CHAPTER 61

An Act to authorise the payment under section seven of the National Galleries of Scotland Act, 1906, out of moneys provided by Parliament of expenditure incurred by the Board of Trustees for the National Galleries of Scotland in the performance of such functions, in addition to the management of the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery, as are conferred on them by or under that Act.

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. Section seven of the National Galleries of Scotland Act, 1906(which provides, among other things, for the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of the expenditure incurred by the Board of Trustees for the National Galleries of Scotland in connection with the management of the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery) shall have effect as if after the words ‘National Portrait Gallery’, in the second place where they occur, there were inserted the words ‘and with the performance of such other functions as are conferred on them by or under this Act.’
