The Agricultural Marketing Act 1983 (Commencement) Order 1983

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland, the Secretary of State for Wales and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 9(3) of the Agricultural Marketing Act 1983(a), hereby make the following order:—

1. This order may be cited as the Agricultural Marketing Act 1983 (Commencement) Order 1983.

2. The Agricultural Marketing Act 1983 shall come into force on 23rd March 1983.

In witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 8th March.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Order.)

This order brings the Agricultural Marketing Act 1983 fully into operation on 23rd March 1983. The Act establishes the body known as Food from Britain.
