Abstract
Purpose –The purpose of this study was to perform sentiment analysis and analyze the growth and popularity of Drupal, Joomla and WordPress on
YouTube over a four-year period. This included identifying the most liked and commented videos for each content management system (CMS),
ranking the CMSs based on the number of positive comments they received, and using natural language processing techniques to identify the top
ten most frequently appearing words in videos about the CMSs.
Design/methodology/approach –The data for assessing the features of the videos of Drupal, WordPress and Joomla was extracted using
Webometric Analyst version 4.4. with the help of the YouTube application programming interface key for videos on the selected CMSs uploade d
from 2019 to 2022. The extraction of comments and sentiment analysis for the relevant videos was done using Mozdeh.

chronological growth of videos of the three CMSs in four years and till the present time, WordPress has the highest number of videos followed by
Drupal and then Joomla. Regarding the ranking of highly liked videos, WordPress again wins the list with the highest number of likes in its videos

for Drupal, respectively, WordPress receives the highest average positive comments followed by Drupal then Joomla. In top word frequency, the
word “thank”highly occurs and viewers are asking for more tutorial videos.
Originality/value –To the best of the authors’knowledge, this study is the f‌irst attempt for analyzing the sentiments of WordPress, Dru pal and

Introduction
Content management system (CMS) is a software application
that allows users to create, modify, manage, store and publish
digital content to webpages. It typically uses a user-friendly
graphical interface, such as a WYSIWYG (What You See Is
What You Get) editor, to make it easy for nontechnicalusers to
create and edit webpages and other types of content. CMS is
gaining much popularity for its f‌lexibility in use on the Web
(Martinez-Caroet al.,2018).The CMS also provides a range of
features, such as search engine optimization, content version
control, the ability to create and manage online form, and
more. In addition, many CMSs alsoprovide a range of tools to
help users manage content, such as content templates, user-/
role-based access controls and automated content distribution
(Vivekavardhan and Verma, 2016). With a CMS, users can
quickly and easily create, manage, and publish contentto both
Web and mobile devices, allowing them to reach a larger
audience. As per a study, approximately50% of the websites or
webpages are designed using CMS (Martinez-Caro et al.,
2018). CMSs are widely used in e-commercefor the purpose of
selling, buying and exchange of services (Srivastav and Nath,
2016). In present times, most of the corporate sectors,
government, organizational or library websites are created
using CMS (Saha, 2020). In this digital era, it is very usefulfor
libraries to create attractive and systematic library websites
using CMS with multiple features like managing, updating and
publishing e-contents and customizing according to the needs
of the library. It is also easier for nontechnical persons to create
websites within a short period of time. Drupal, WordPressand
Joomla are popular CMSs that are widely used for building
websites and managingonline content (Patel et al.,2012). Each
