Arteta ‘humiliated’ Aubameyang

Piers Morgan believes that Mikel Arteta is guilty of humiliating Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang through the way he dealt with the former Arsenal captain last season.

Aubameyang was stripped of the captaincy in December before being frozen out of the squad and allowed to leave Barcelona on a free transfer. The saga has come back into the spotlight due to behind-the-scenes footage of the events being shown to the public in Prime Video series Arsenal: All or Nothing.

Morgan has always been critical of the way Arteta dealt with the situation and has got involved in some Twitter spats over the subject. "He's a poor time-keeper, big deal. [Thomas] Tuchel managed him superbly, Arteta chose to humiliate him & give him away -costing us Top4,” he wrote to one fan.
