Arty parties do pension plans: NAPF delegates aired their views on postcards. Ruth Prickett reports the results.

Pensions may have been a thorny issue for many companies struggling to deal with stock market losses and FRS17 disclosures, but it seems that people working in the sector are managing to retain their sense of humour. This year's entrants for the National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) Art of Pensions campaign ranged from the cynical through the affectionately rueful to the distinctly surreal.

Participants were given a blank postcard and asked to illustrate their view of the current pensions world. The prize for the best entry overall went to Matthew Demwell of Mercer Human Resource Consulting, who showed a picture of the chancellor of the Exchequer on the front page of the Sun with the caption "Gordon Brown ate my pension".
