Audi AG, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group (Xetra: VW), is upgrading older models of its cars in South Africa using its new 'connect plug-and-play' technology.
The upgrades will be conducted for free at Audi dealerships and are designed to serve Audi drivers with vehicles from model year 2008 and onwards that do not have Audi connect deployed.
The technology links the vehicle with the owner's smartphone to offer a range of digital services. The new offering is intended for cars that did not have the technology preinstalled at the factory. The...
