Best Review Prize 2020 –
Cooperation and Conflict
This year we will dedicate the Best Review Prize to all of the anonymous peer reviewers
that so generously have contributed their time and expertise to maintaining the high
standard of the articles published in Cooperation and Conflict in 2020 in spite of the
challenging times we currently face. As editors we are proud of the contributions our
colleagues make in taking on the responsibility of reviewing and following up on manu-
scripts submitted to the journal. The reviewers we would like to pay tribute to are the
ones that are knowledgeable of the content of the manuscripts and are able to provide
encouraging and constructive yet critical comments to guide the authors to improve their
submissions and to help them situate their contribution in the field of international rela-
tions (IR) scholarship. They demonstrate that anonymous peer reviews can be both rigor-
ous and kind!
As per the specified criteria for the Best Review Prize, these anonymous peer reviewers
have contributed to enhance the theoretical originality and sharpen the arguments,
improved the methodological rigour and helped made visible the empirical richness of
the analysis of the reviewed manuscripts.
On behalf of Cooperation and Conflict,
Professor Annika Björkdahl, Editor in Chief
Ass. Professor Martin Hall, Editor
