Big names line up to take part in CIMA conference 2005.

Two FTSE high-flyers are to speak at CIMA's 2005 annual conference in November. David Jones, chairman of Next, and David Tyler FCMA, group FD of GUS, are among the leading financial figures who will be discussing some of today's most pressing business issues.

Jones, who is also deputy chairman of Morrisons, will explain the power of "financial turnaround", based on his own experiences at Next, and will refer to his personal battle with Parkinsons disease. Tyler (pictured) will talk about his experiences at GUS and the factors that create--and destroy--shareholder value.

Mick McLoughlin, global and UK head of corporate recovery at KPMG, who has been involved in corporate recovery in a range of sectors since 1983, will speak about business recovery. He will address the issues of systematic and strong cash management in a difficult trading environment and will emphasise that all businesses can benefit from a regular, systematic review of their own liquidity.
