O'Brien can strike at Perth via Wolf Prince

The six-year-old will be making only his second start since joining the Cheltenham stable in the Perthshire Pride Stone Of Destiny Handicap Hurdle

He caught the eye last time in the Summer Hurdle at Market Rasen, racing from the front and only fading after the last. That form looks decent while his Irish form from his time with Gavin Cromwell stacks up well too.

He beat Dysart Diamond last season and was second at Grade 1 level in 2020 so there could well be progress to come from a rating of 138. He had gone off the boil for a while in Ireland but this was a step in the right direction and, given he enjoys good ground, he could well be primed to take this valuable prize.

The yard also has a leading chance on the Flat on Saturday at Newbury in the Rangers Riding Ranch Amateur Jockeys' Handicap with Castel Gandolfo.

The five-year-old finished ahead of Wolf Prince at Market Rasen but the team are looking to exploit a competitive rating of 75, which he achieved when trained in Ireland.

He has shown a decent level of form since then and is running as well as ever. The trainer's daughter, Fern, takes the ride.
