US-based private equity firm Broad Sky Partners has received an investment from Capital Constellation, and has acquired US-based laboratory supplies provider Thomas Scientific, marking the team's first transaction, the firm said.
Broad Sky was founded and is led by chief executive officer Tyler Zachem, a 29-year private equity veteran, who most recently served as co-head of Carlyle Global Partners, Carlyle's long-dated investment strategy, and co-chair of the Investment Committee of CEOF, Carlyle's US middle market platform.
