Coady hails Wolves' self belief

Conor Coady has claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers never lost confidence in their ability to win games despite losing each of their opening three fixtures in the Premier League this season.

The captain's comments come after Wolves secured their first victory of the campaign against Watford, winning 2-0 at Vicarage Road thanks to a Francisco Sierralta own goal and a fortuitous finish from Hwang Hee-chan on his debut.

The West Midlands outfit lost 1-0 to Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, although they did beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the League Cup.

Despite the rocky start, the team did earn plaudits from pundits and spectators for their style and quality of play in each game, and Coady says it was their level of performance in the face of defeat that gave them the belief they could turn their form around.
