Austrian biotechnology company CEBINA GmbH on Thursday announced that the already approved and the most commonly used nasal spray Azelastine has demonstrated action against SARS-CoV-2 infection in in vitro tests.
In partnership with University of Vienna, Austria, CEBINA used a computational approach, integrated several software tools and a new analysis of biological pathways to identify possible drugs to combat COVID-19 as well as conducted in vitro viral infection test in SARS-CoV-2 at the BSL-4 laboratory at the Szentagothai Research Center...
