Marty McKenna sparked complaints from angry viewers over the way he spoke about women after making his debut on Celebs Go Dating on Wednesday night.

Geordie Shore star Marty, who first found TV fame on Ex on the Beach, was a late arrival to the latest series of the hit E4 show, joining the likes of Abz from Five, Ulrika Jonsson and Nikita Jasmine insults Celebs Go Dating co-star as Married at First Sight bride returns to TV the County Durham bride from Married At First Sight.

Ex of former co-star Chloe Ferry, Marty headed to London to join dating experts Paul C.Brunson and Anna Williamson in the hope they'd find him 'the one,' telling them he was there to meet his future wife.

But it was the way Marty spoke about women that immediately rubbed Celebs Go Dating viewers up the wrong way.

During his first conversation with Paul and Anna, Marty said: "I'm at the stage now where I'm still in a slagy rut.

"I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm not gonna come here and go on a first date with a bird and say 'd'ya wanna be me bird"

A perplexed Paul asked Marty what he meant by "a bird," to which the Newcastle native said that's what men call women back at home.

He told the experts he didn't think it was an offensive term but then angered people watching...
