Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 63 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1954(a), as extended by section 63 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, 1954(b), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows, in the terms of a draft approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament:—
1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Central Land Board (Dissolution and Transfer of Functions) Order, 1959.
(2) The Interpretation Act, 1889(c), applies to the interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

(3) This Order shall come into operation on the first day of April, 1959.
2. The Central Land Board (hereinafter called "the Board") is hereby dissolved.
3. There are hereby transferred to the Minister of Housing and Local Government (hereinafter called "the Minister") the functions of the Board in England and Wales under the Town and Country Planning Acts, 1947 to 1954, and to the Secretary of State for Scotland the functions of the Board in Scotland under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Acts, 1947 to 1954, in so far as such functions in England and Wales or in Scotland have not been fully performed on the first day of April, 1959.
4.—(1) In the construction and for the purposes of any enactment, regulation, judgment, award, order, deed, contract, certificate, decree, notice, or other document passed or made before the coming into operation of this Order, any reference to, or which is to be construed as a reference to, the Board or the officers of the Board shall, so far as may be necessary for or in consequence of the transfer of functions in England and Wales effected by this Order, be construed as a reference to the Minister or his officers and shall, so far as may be necessary for or in consequence of the transfer of functions in Scotland be construed as a reference to the Secretary of State for Scotland or his officers.
(2) The transfer of functions effected by this Order shall not prejudice the operation of any order, determination, direction...
