1964 CHAPTER iv
An Act to make provision for the appointment of judges
of the Central Criminal Court and with respect to the
constitution and proceedings of the Mayor's and City
of London Court; and for other purposes.

VI7HEREAS
(1) The additional judges of the Mayor's and City of London
Court are, by virtue of section 1 of the Central Criminal Court
Act, 1834, and subsequent enactments, judges of the Central
Criminal Court in the city of London:
(2) The work of the Central Criminal Court has increased in
recent years and is expected further to increase, and it is expedient
to make provision for the appointment of judges of the Central
Criminal Court who shall devote the whole of their time to the
work of that court in place of the additional judges of the
Mayor's and City of London Court:
(3) It is expedient to make further provision with respect to
the appointment of judges of the Mayor's and City of London
Court and the constitution and proceedings of that court and to
repeal and re-enact with amendments provisions of the Mayor's
and City of London Court Act, 1920, and other enactments
relating to that court:
