An Act to grant further Powers to "The Colchester,
Stour Valley, Sudbury, and Halstead Railway
Company." ' [25th May 1855.]
HERE AS an Act was passed in the Session of Parliament
9 & 10
Vict.
held in the Ninth and Tenth Years of the Reign of Her c-lxxvi-
present Majesty, called " The Colchester, Stour Valley,
Sudbury, and Halstead Railway Act, 1846," whereby the Colchester,
Stour Valley, Sudbury, and Halstead Railway Company were incor-
porated, for the Purpose of making a Railway from the Eastern
Counties Railway in the Parish of Marks Tey in the County of
Essex to Sudbury in the County of Suffolk, with a Branch Railway
from the Eastern Union Railway to the Hythe Bridge in
Colchester
:
And whereas the said Railways have been long since completed,
and open to the Public: And whereas the Company are empowered
by the said Act to raise Two hundred and fifty thousand Pounds by
Ten thousand Shares of Twenty-five Pounds each, and to borrow
Eighty-three thousand Pounds
:
And whereas the Company have issued
Nine thousand six hundred and eighty-one Shares, and have received
Two hundred and fourteen thousand seven hundred and fifty-five
