PROBATION
The Combined Probation Areas (Lincolnshire) Order 1999
Made 28th June 1999
Coming into force 1st July 1999
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 2 of the Probation Services Act 19931, and after the consultation required by that section, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Combined Probation Areas (Lincolnshire) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st July 1999.
2. That part of the Combined Probation Areas Order 19862which relates to the Lincolnshire area3shall be amended by–
(a) substituting “Skegness” for the reference to “Spilsby and Skegness” in column 1;
(b) substituting “3” for “2” in the entry in respect of Lincoln District in column 3;
(c) omitting the entries in respect of the petty sessions areas of Caistor and Market Rasen.

This Order amends the Combined Probation Areas Order 1986 (S.I. 1986/1713) to take account of the Lord Chancellor’s reorganisation of the petty sessional divisions in Lincolnshire as effected by the Petty Sessional Divisions (Lincolnshire) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/64) and the Petty Sessional Divisions (Lincolnshire) (No. 2) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/65). The petty sessional division of Skegness was formerly named “Spilsby and Skegness”. The petty sessional division of Lincoln District was formerly represented by 2 justices. The former petty sessional districts of Caistor and Market Rasen now form part of the expanded Lincoln District.
