In relation to the above numbered case on 29 July 2020, District Judge Adams sitting in the County Court at Newcastle upon Tyne as a Judge of the County Court, sentenced the Defendant in that case, to a custodial sentence of 12 weeks custody suspended until 9th July 2022 for contempt of court on breach of an Injunction Order dated 19 June 2020 which provided that the Respondent should not: Cause harassment, alarm or distress to any person not of the same household.

The basis of the sentence imposed is that Daniel Davies was in breach of the Injunction, by

  1. The court found that following admission made he had breached the order by: Around 4pm on 6/7/20 shouted words to the effect of “you’re blind, you’re blind, you’re fucking blind” towards a member of the public and his wife, who suffers from blindness, and then later around 8pm and 9pm shouted profanities toward the same persons and/or other members of the public.
  2. And imposed the following sentence for those breaches: 12 weeks custody wholly suspended until 9/7/22.

These breaches were contrary to the terms...
