The Companies (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1980

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 37(1) and (3) of the Companies Act 1976(a)and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:—

1. These regulations may be cited as the Companies (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1980, and shall come into operation on 22nd December 1980.

2. In the Schedule to the Companies (Fees) Regulations 1980(b), for the entry relating to the inspection of documents under sections 98(3) and 426(1) of the Companies Act 1948(c), there shall be substituted the following entry:

"For inspection of documents under sections 98(3) and 426(1) of the Companies Act 1948:

For each inspection made before 1st April 1981… 5 pence
                For each inspection made on or after 1st April 1981… £1"

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the regulations.)

These regulations amend the Companies (Fees) Regulations 1980 by providing that the fee payable to the registrar of companies for inspection of documents kept by him under sections 98(3) and 426(1) of the Companies Act 1948 is 5 pence for each such inspection made before 1st April 1981, and £1 for each such inspection made on or after that date.
