The Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1991

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by subsections (5) and (6) of section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 19911I hereby make the following Order:

S-1 This Order may be cited as the Dangerous Dogs Compensation and...

1. This Order may be cited as the Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 25th November 1991.

S-2 The Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes Order...

2. The Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes Order 19912is hereby amended by inserting in article 10(2), after paragrah (g)3, the following—

“(h)

“(h) a requirement to provide the Agency before 1st March 1992 with such evidence as they may require that (in addition to the permanent identification required by article 7(1) the dog has been tattooed in such manner as may be prescribed by them;

(i)

(i) a requirement, on request on or after 1st March 1992 by a person specified in section 5(1) of the Act to display the dog’s tattoo pusuant to paragraph (h) to such a person.”

This Order amends the Dangerous Dogs Compensation and Exemption Schemes Order 1991 by adding to the requirements which must be included in a certificate of exemption requirements that evidence of a dog having been tattooed in the prescribed manner be produced to the Agency appointed by the Secretary of State before 1st March 1992; and that from that date, the tattoo be displayed on request by an authorised person.
