The novation of the connection contract at Jarrow oil terminal sidings dated 5
September 2022 between Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive and Prax
Terminals Jarrow Limited (formerly Prax Terminals Limited)
1. The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) has approved the novation of the connection
contract above, as submitted to us under sections 18 and 22 of the Railway Act 1993
(the Act).
2. Please find enclosed a copy of the notice which approves the novation of the
agreement from Prax Terminals Jarrow Limited (PTJL) to Phillips 66 Limited (P66L)
and directs Phillips 66 Limited and Tyne and Wear Passenger Transport Executive to
enter into the agreement.
3. On 5 June 2026, the parties requested ORR approve the novation of the connection
contract at Jarrow oil terminal sidings following the liquidation of PTJL and
subsequent purchase of the business by P66L.
