An Act for incorporating the District Fire Insu-
rance Company of Birmingham, by the Name of
"The District Fire Insurance Company;" for
enabling the said Company to sue and be sued;
and for other Purposes relating to the said
Company. [23d April 1847.]

HEREAS certain Persons associated themselves under a
Deed of Settlement bearing Date the First Day of Oc-
tober One thousand eight hundred and thirty-four into a
Company, using the Name of " The District Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Birmingham" in order to carry on the Business of Insurances
against Loss by Fire, with certain Provisions for extending the
Bvisiuess of the said Company to that of a Life Insurance Company,
in case the Members should resolve as therein mentioned, and for
altering the Style and Title of the said Company accordingly: And
whereas an Act was passed in the Seventh and Eighth Years of the
