ALLAN CHURCH Communion service on Sunday, June 6 at 11.15am will be led by Rev Ken Russell. After the successful service by the sole nominee on May 9, the church is delighted to announce Rev Peter Gill will start his appointment soon, with remit for Cowie and Plean and Bannockburn Allan. While the numerical limit has been lifted by the Scottish Government and replaced with Physical Distanced Building Capacity (PDBC), the PDBC for the Allan Church is 90 and this is displayed at the front door as per legal requirements. Other mitigations are still in place i.e. seating is still restricted because of Covid 19, but hand sanitisers, and face masks are available (should you forget your own). Social distancing and a one-way system will be the order of the day in and out of church. The services are shorter than normal because there is no singing of hymns or reciting prayers in accordance with Scottish Government and Church of Scotland guidelines. Please note that you use the building at your own risk.

Now that lockdown regulations have been eased, the church is thinking about starting much needed fundraising activities again and has decided to offer an afternoon tea delivery service on Saturday, June 12. You can have afternoon tea delivered to you or the person of your choice. The afternoon tea would make a lovely birthday or thank you gift so why not treat yourself to a delicious home baked tea delivered at no extra cost. t. he cost will £10 per head and you can book a place by speaking to or phoning Anne McInnes on 01786 812205. Afternoon teas will be delivered to your door between 2pm and 3pm on the Saturday.
