Veteran presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford will be back on This Morning less than a year after their surprise replacement.

The duo were swapped out of the ITV magazine show in favour of Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary at the end of last year, amid rumours they weren't too happy with the change.

Now they'll be back on the sofa over the summer, taking over Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby's slots temporarily in July for the summer holidays, according to The Mirror.

Ruth -who had starred on the show for 14 years alongside Eamonn -told OK! Magazine : "We'll be doing seven weeks from July. I'm looking forward to it."

It comes months after the long-standing presenters were said to be "furious and upset" about being axed.

It was even reported that they were warned not to speak out.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: "Ruth and Eamonn are obviously upset and feel humiliated about being put out to pasture.

"It could damage their brand if they lash out."

But some have speculated they've made a few subtle digs about their replacements.
