The Love Gorgie Farm resident has shunned siblings Ronaldo and Whitley's support of the Tynecastle side to become a dyed in the wool fan of League Two side Cowdenbeath.

It is unknown whether Kiwi's South American roots convinced him to pledge allegiance to the Blue Brazil, but it was enough for keepers at the popular Capital attraction to take out match ball sponsorship in his name for their final game of the season against Albion Rovers earlier this month.

It proved to be a lucky charm for the Fifers as goals from Kyle Miller and Iain Russell secured a final day win over their Cliftonhill opponents.

Cowden recently announced that long-serving duo Miller and Fraser Mullen had signed new deals for next season, but the Central Park outfit have given little indication of whether Kiwi will join Gary Bollan's ranks.
