The Journal of Property Investment and Finance (JPIF ) strongly supports the next generation
of property researchers. This is reflected in this special issue of JPIF which is targeted at
Early Career Researchers (ECRs). This sees ECRs given the opportunity to publish their first
paper to begin their research careers.
Publishing is a key ingredient in all academic careers today, so JPIF is supporting this
mandate by facilitating publications by ECRs with their first research paper. It has been a
pleasure to be guest editor for this special issue of JPIF, and give ECRs the opportunity to
launch their research publication careers.
The scope of this research by ECRs in this special issue has been diverse, covering
European Real Estate Investment Trust (REITs), US REITs, coworking, accuracy of
valuation models and risk in feasibility studies. This sets a very positive environment for the
next generation of property researchers and the expanded track record of JPIF as a leading
property research journal. JPIF is proud to support these ECRs in further developing their
property research reputations.
