1. Introduction
The development of knowledge has been very signicant during the recent centuries, in a
way that 80 per cent of the ndings of technology and knowledge and 90 per cent of all
knowledge and technical information have been produced in the world through the
twentieth century; as well, every ve and a half years, the amount of knowledge has been
doubled. However, its average life is less than four years. In this way, this evolution has
created a new business managementperspective called knowledge management.
