The Firemen's Pension Scheme (Amendment) Order 1989

In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 26 of the Fire Services Act 1947 ( a) I hereby, with the approval of the Treasury ( b) " and after consultation with the Central Fire Brigades Advisory Council and the Scottish Central Fire Brigades Advisory Council, make the following Order:
1.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Firemen's Pension Scheme (Amendment) Order 1989.
(2) This Order shall come into force on 15th June 1989 and shall have effect as from 16th March 1988.
2.-(1) The Firemen's Pension Scheme 1973, set out in Appendix 2 to the Firemen's Pension Scheme Order 1973 ( c) shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this article.
(2) In Part I of Schedule 3-
(a) in paragraph 1(2), for "12.5%" there shall be substituted "18.75%" , and(b) in paragraph 1(3), for "4 or more" there shall be substituted "3 or more" .Douglas Hurd | |
