CONSERVATION OF SEA FISH

The Sea Fish (Conservation) (Revocation) Order 1983

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretaries of State respectively concerned with the sea fishing industry in Scotland and Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1 and 20(1) of the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967(a), and the said Minister, the said Secretaries of State and the Secretary of State concerned with the sea fishing industry in Northern Ireland, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 3, 4, 5, 6(1), 15(3) and 20(1) of the said Act(b), and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, after consultation (in so far as they are acting in exercise of the said section 6(1)) with the Secretary of State for Trade, hereby make the following order:—

Title and commencement

1. This order may be cited as the Sea Fish (Conservation) (Revocation) Order 1983, and shall come into operation on 9th March 1983.

Revocation

2. The orders made under the Sea Fish (Conservation) Act 1967 and referred to in the Schedule to this order are hereby revoked.

In Witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 22nd February 1983.

(b) Section 3 was amended by the Fishery Limits Act 1976 (c. 86), Schedule 2, paragraph 16(1); section 4(1) and (2) was amended by the Fishery Limits Act 1976, section 3; section 5(1) was amended by the Fisheries Act 1981, section 22(1); section 6(1) was amended by S.I. 1974/692, Schedule 1, Part III and S.I. 1979/1537, Schedule 2, paragraph 10; section 15(3) was amended by the Sea Fisheries Act 1968 (c. 77), Schedule 1, paragraph 38(3) and by the Fishery Limits Act 1976, Schedule 2, paragraph 16(1); section 22(2), which contains definitions of "the Ministers" for the purposes of sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 15(3), was amended by the Fisheries Act 1981, sections 19(2)(d) and 45.
