The Fishing Boats (Norway) Designation (Revocation) Order 1985

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretaries of State respectively concerned with sea fishing in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 2(1) and 6(2) of the Fishery Limits Act 1976(a), as read with paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 to that Act, and now vested in them(b) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:—

Title and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Fishing Boats (Norway) Designation (Revocation) Order 1985 and shall come into operation on 27th March 1985.

Revocation of the Fishing Boats (Norway) Designation Order 1964

2. The Fishing Boats (Norway) Designation Order 1964(c) is hereby revoked.

In Witness whereof the Official Seal of the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is hereunto affixed on 11th February 1985.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This Note is not part of the Order.)

This Order revokes the Fishing Boats (Norway) Designation Order 1964 which designated Norway as a country whose registered fishing boats are accorded fishing rights for specified descriptions of fish in specified areas within British Fishery Limits.
