The effect of section 4 of the Housing Act (Northern Ireland), 1948, is thereafter to exempt from the provisions of the Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Act (Northern Ireland), 1940, all houses of the Irish Sailors and Soldiers Land Trust whether provided before or after the passing of the Act of 1948.
