After filming was put on hold for 18 months due to the coronavirus pandemic, it looks like it's full steam ahead for the new series of Geordie Shore.

While the last series of the MTV show aired last summer, in reality it was recorded at the end of 2019 and early 2020 before COVID-19 hit and earlier this year it was reported that the pandemic had thwarted plans for a huge reunion series in South America to mark its 10th birthday.

However, it looks like cameras will start rolling on a new run of Geordie Shore: Where Are They Now A look at castmates past and present as show turns 10 this week as several of its cast hinted that they'd be away from their social media for some time, with others revealing they'd been in isolation.

The most obvious nod to filming resuming came from Abbie Holborn who posted a picture of herself on Instagram along with the caption: "Day 9 of isolation finally over.

"After a year and a half of no filming it's finally the time to get back to it tomorrow! Excited and nervous aren't the words.

"See yous in 3 weeks!"
