Glasgow SEPA probe underway after around 200 fish found dead in Hogganfield Loch

Concerned locals spotted the 'massive fish kill' in the north east area of the loch on Thursday of this week

The dead fish are believed to have come from a culvert that comes in to the loch from Frankfield Loch nearby.

It is understood that the fish that have died are roach and that they number around 200 in total.

Environmental protection agency SEPA is currently investigating the incident.

Meanwhile Glasgow City Council said they too are concerned about the circumstances which have led to the death of a large number of fish and will do what they can to support SEPA.
