GMB's Adil Ray divides viewers as he hosts show and snaps at Kate Garraway; Adil Ray was back to host Good Morning Britain on Easter Monday alongside colleague Kate Garraway.

Good Morning Britain viewers flooded social media with very different opinions on Adil Ray as the presenter clashed with colleague Kate Garraway on Monday's show.

Last week Adil, who also hosts ITV afternoon quiz show Lingo, confirmed that he'd be stepping into Piers Morgan 's shoes to present GMB for the whole of April, tweeting: "Some news for you....I will be co hosting @gmb throughout the whole of April Mon to Weds, starting this Monday with @kategarraway and with @susannareid100 after the hols. I would love for you to make it your daily wake up if you fancy it!"

While things started off in a very harmonious fashion, Adil later clashed with Kate as he thought she was having a go at his hometown of Birmingham.

The two were joined by Dr Amir Khan, to discuss the topic of Brits having staycations this year rather than holidays abroad, with Dr Amir wasting no time in plugging his home county of Yorkshire.

Adil took the opportunity to throw Birmingham into the mix, which led to Kate quipping: "more canals than Venice."

Not wanting to let it lie, after the show aired a competition, Adil snapped at Kate to say: "There's nothing wrong with Birmingham, Kate," with her quickly responding: "I wasn't saying there was!"
