THEREAS
the Great Yarmouth Port and Haven Commissioners

are incorporated
by
and are the authority for carryirg into
execution the purposes and objects of the Act and Orders hereinafter
sct forth fur the conservancy and improvement
of
the Port and
Haven
of
Great Yarmouth and the rivers connected therewith and
for the levying
of
tolls and other purposes (that is to
say)
:-

The Great Yarmouth Port and Haven Order 1874 confirmed

The Great Yarmouth Port and Haven Order 1891 confirmed
And
whereas borrowing powers were conferred
upon
the said
Commissioners by the Act of 1866 and by the Order
of
1874 and
by
the
said Act
and
Order and the OrJer
of
1891
or
some or one
of
them powers were given to levy rates dues and tolls
on
vessels
using the said haven and rivers and
on
animals
fish
and goods
imported into
or
exported from the haven loaded or unloaded in
Yarmouth Roads within the said
port
and carried
or
conveyed on
the said rivers and
for
the registration
of
vessels using the said
rivers and by
the
Act
of
1866 and the Harbours Docks and Piers
Clauses Act 1847 incorporated therewith and with the Orders
of
1874 and 1891 power is also given
to
make byelaws
for
regulating
the
conduct
of
persons using the said haven and rivers and
otherwise
:
And whereas
it
is expedient that the Commissioners should
have further borrowing powers conferred upon them
for
the general

by the Pier and Harbour Orders Confirmation Act 1891
