Yesterday we revealed a list of more than 100 schools that mums, dads and grandparents said had gone 'above and beyond' to support pupils and families.

We knew plenty more were worthy of similar praise and after asking parents to share the details, we've been inundated with hundreds of comments.

Once again parents were keen to tell us what an amazing job staff have been doing in such difficult circumstances.

In fact, we've had so many responses that it's impossible to fit them all in one article, so we'll feature more over the coming days.

Among the schools receiving praise are those that have issued well-being packs to children or teddies to cheer them up, including Tottington Primary School in Bury and St Ambrose RC Primary in Manchester, where every child has been given a bear to keep.

If you want to share a message about your child's school, then let us know in the comments here, or under the story on our Manchester Family Facebook page.

Here's what parents have said about schools across Greater Manchester

"Would love to thank Miss Riley and Mrs Brown year 2 at Benchill Primary School they are both amazing and my daughter's education hasn’t suffered. Their support for the children and the parents have been second to none and my daughter has loved her lessons and I have learnt so much during homeschooling. Thank you so much ladies and also the mums from year 2 who have picked me up when I’ve been having a bad day." Leila Hornby "The reception teachers at Ringway Primary School in Wythenshawe have been exceptional! Always going above and beyond for our children." Catherine Shakespeare "Birchfields Primary School Longsight. Deputy head out in all weathers waiting for the children always smiling and the rest of the teachers and staff well done." Maureen Middleton "Abbey Hey Primary Academy in Abbey Hey, Gorton, have gone above and beyond for children and families that need extra support at home. Have given out chrome books to families that don’t own a laptop so the children can do online learning and meal vouchers, also doing food banks, we’ve been calling up children and their families if they need any support at all. We’re always there for them at all times and much more too, been absolutely amazing through lockdown." Amina Ahmed "Pike Fold Primary School in Blackley have been amazing throughout the whole lockdown. They have not only put the children’s education first but also their well being." Sarah Saphier "Saviour C of E Primary School, Collyhurst, they have gone above and beyond for my 3 children their teachers have been amazing they have been phoning every week to check in and they've just made this home schooling a lot easier for me. Amazing school, honestly can't praise them enough." Jen Chatburn "Everyone at E-ACT Blackley Academy needs to be thanked for everything they are doing and have done since the start of the pandemic. Not only are the children adapting to this new way of learning but the teachers are to and are doing a fantastic job. As well as their daily job they still take the time to do 71 all essential welfare checks which in itself is a job. So for all staff I personally want to thank you, you're all amazing." Carla Worgan "Mount Carmel RC Primary Blackley has been fantastic in caring for our children’s mental well-being during such a difficult few weeks where the children are separated from their friends. They have sent little treat bags ‘well-being bags’ home to home schooled children and included them where they can in what’s been going on in school. The teachers are working tirelessly and have my utmost respect." Victoria Shaw "The Barlow RC High School have welcomed my son in to year 7 this year. They have really listened to parents during this lockdown, to get the learning right. They have provided lessons away from screens and video calls to catch up with teachers. My son has continued learning and staying connected to his lovely new school." Rebecca Blinkhorn "I second this [The Barlow RC HIgh]. My child is there now. One left two years ago and my daughter will go in 4 years' time. I couldn’t even think of anywhere else I would want to send my children. They are fantastic and the most important part for me as a parent is that my children are happy and want to go to school every day." Vicky Cora "They [The Barlow RC High] have been extremely supportive with my son who is autistic. Miss Fisher in hive always helpful and many more staff are fantastic." Becky Blinston Massey "Saint Chad's primary in Manchester even let parents who don’t work but are struggling with school work go in and helped my little ones levels go up. She's back on track, they always been so positive too." Marie Creamer "Definitely Ravensbury Community School. They have always gone above and beyond, they phone regularly to see how you are doing and have always tried their absolute best and the kids love the school and can’t wait to go back." Zarah Spikey Bryan "Pike Fold Primary School has well and truly gone above and beyond for all children. They are all being well looked after by staff. They have made school life the same for all children still in school. They made sure before lockdown that they kept everything COVID safe but still gave the children all the same activities and Christmas fun days. Our children at this school have had so much given to them. Just last week they were given lockdown hero treats -little ones got teddies, big kids got a T-shirt or hat. There has been a lot of late night working by all staff sorting out online working for the children plus they are also teaching the children in the class." Kim Holt "St Catherine's RC Primary has been amazing all year long and recently has been no different. We have live lessons, online learning and on Wednesdays, Workout Wednesday! AlexER1980 "Thank you to St Anthony's Primary School in Wythenshawe. The staff go above and beyond to keep our children safe. They keep in contact with the home learners by phone calls, messages and videos. Every week they set work to follow and keep things interesting and easier to manage for us parents. Also they are looking after key worker children and vulnerable children in the school too. They give us hope with their friendliness and positivity. Their smiles and words help our children in these hard times." Claraboo3 "I would really like to thank Moston Lane Primary School.
