'I should have done the Ronaldo celebration!' Beaming Cardiff City starlet Rubin Colwill whose boyhood dream came true at Nottingham Forest

Colwill was on the pitch for a matter of seconds before he swept home his first goal in a City shirt, levelling the tie after Lewis Grabban's first-half strike.

The sound boomed through the stadium and Colwill, who has been in the City academy since he was eight years old and a Bluebirds fans, said it made the hairs on his neck stand to attention.

"I could hear it on the pitch. It gives you goosebumps!" he said after the match.

"It's something every fan dreams of, to have the fans singing your name.

"It was an unbelievable feeling and something I've wanted to do since I started playing football.

"The following today was unbelievable, we packed the away end.

"We were drowning out the Forest fans towards the end. It was great to hear them singing my name."

Every kid dreams of netting their first goal for their beloved team. They even envisage what celebration they are going to do.

That's all well and good, Colwill says, but when the moment actually comes, you get swept away.

He had grand designs on a Cristiano Ronaldo-like celebration, but in fact he was just "mauled" by his team-mates on the floor in front of the frenzied supporters.

"The boys were telling me when I came in that I should have done the Ronaldo 'Siu' celebration!" he laughed.

"I just didn't know what to do. I just sprinted to the corner.
