I joined Innocent, the natural food and drinks company, in the summer of 2006 following a year at Procter & Gamble. I came to Innocent to embark on a career in finance: the company offered me the chance to study for my CIMA qualification within a high growth and vibrant organisation, which I jumped at.

I started on Innocent's purchase ledger team - which was only three strong just over four and a half years ago. It's a much bigger operation today with a finance team of 30. After about a year, I became an assistant marketing accountant, doing basic management accounts and dealing with any project work. I then became a commercial finance analyst, helping the commercial finance managers with our pricing, promotions and analysis of customer profitability. Next, I was promoted to the position of "out of home" finance manager. This entails working closely with the team's commercial controller and 15 non-grocery account managers.
