Kaseya Closes USD 6.2bn Acquisition of Cybersecurity and Data Backup Firm Datto.

US-based unified IT and security management software provider Kaseya, serving managed service providers and mid-market enterprises, has completed its acquisition of US-based cybersecurity and data backup firm Datto for USD 6.2bn, representing a share price of USD 35.50, the company said.

With the completion of the transaction, Datto's stock ceased trading and the company is no longer listed on any public market.

Kaseya said its acquisition of Datto strengthens its IT Complete platform with an enhanced array of to help increase MSP efficiency and profitability.

Kaseya announced that at least 17 workflow integrations between Datto products and the Kaseya platform are planned within the first month, and 100% of commercial integrations are anticipated to be completed within 120 days.

Customers can immediately expect substantial investments focused on upgrades and innovations to all Datto product offerings.

The list pricing on all Datto technology will be reduced by on average 10% or more on new purchases. Some products' list prices will come down more than that, while others might remain the same, Kaseya said.

With this pricing adjustment, Kaseya continues to provide the only purpose-built platform for the MSP that is priced right.
